brought out, to bring into
God brings us out so He can bring us in.
“With uplifted hand I said to them, ‘I am the LORD your God.’ On that day I swore to them that I would bring them out of Egypt into a land I had searched out for them, a land flowing with milk and honey, the most beautiful of all lands.” (Ezekiel 20:5-6)
“For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land” (Deuteronomy 8:7)
But sometimes the bringing out can feel like a wringing and rending. And sometimes it feels like a death. Like the death of what was known and comfortable or even like we’re going to be left out in the wilderness without hope of being brought into a good place.
Know this my friend, God’s purpose in bringing you out is to bring you in. In to the place He has prepared for you. In to the fullness of life He has for you. In to the good things He has for you to walk in. Because He has not forgotten you. He has not brought you out to leave you stranded.
You know, Egypt was originally the place of God’s provision but it became a place of idolatry and bondage. Sometimes, even what was God’s design for a season, shifts so it is no longer our home. And sometimes there are just areas of our lives or habits or patterns that He is bringing us out of because He has a new way for us for a new season. Let us courageously trust Him to bring us out of whatever He is bringing us out of so we can see Him bring us into the fullness of all that He has for us.
God does have a home for you. A place for you. His desire is to bring you in. He has not forgotten you.
