Helps for reorienting places co-opted by toxic applications of purity culture…
Disclaimer: I don’t agree with all of what these things say but I don’t agree with myself all the time either, so I’m OK with that. As with anything, these should be taken back to the overall story of Scripture and God’s heart for us. There are things in a few of these helps that I vehemently disagree with, but in some way they have helped me to ask better questions or engage with what is right and good and true in a more meaningful way. Some of these things are geared specifically for women but even still could also help men personally and also help men who want to love women well (a significant other, sisters, mothers, co-workers, etc.) do so more fully. Some of these things do not claim to come from a Christian space and say really problematic things but also really helpful things. Some of these things do claim to come from a Christian space and say really problematic things but also really helpful things. Overall though, I have been helped by these…
