faith

Sometimes the fullness of time comes after the “proper” time (Hebrews 11:11) has already passed.

Faith can give breath to hope in the meantime. And hope can give breath to faith.

In the times when we can “see Him, but not now” and “behold Him, but not now” (Numbers 24:17), faith assures us. Holds us. Carries us.

So we can keep watch, because what God has promised is for an appointed time and it hastens towards the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it, my friends. For it will certainly come, it will not delay. (Habakkuk 2)

Oh that we would rest in the assurance that when it feels like God is being slow, that we would know more and more fully in our heart of hearts that in the Kingdom perspective, He is not. It might be His that patience feels like slowness to us. But how grateful I am that He is patient with me. So grateful. His patience gives space for us to come to repentance and faith. (2 Peter 3:9)

Timing and faith. Faith and timing.

Even when it feels like the “proper” time has passed. We can rest, wait and abide in faith.
